We service and maintain all types of industrial radiant tube and warm air heating across warehouses, factories and large commercial premises: high and low intensity radiant tube heaters, direct and indirect warm air heaters, unit heaters, make-up air units and destratification systems. All major brands are covered, including Ambirad, Reznor, Powrmatic, Combat, Space-Ray, Roberts Gordon and Schwank.

Alongside heating, we extend and alter industrial gas pipework for new machines, carry out tightness testing, strength testing, purging and pressure proving to IGEM/UP/1, UP/1A and UP/1B Edition 4 (mandatory from 1 October 2026), and test gas interlocks and ventilation. Electronic gas detection is used to find leaks in pipework, fittings, appliance connections and meter installations, and every defect is classified, recorded and put right to Gas Safe standards.

We issue CP15, CP16, CP17 and CP42 gas safety certificates on the day of the inspection where the installation is safe; if not, we follow the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure (ID/AR) and issue a warning notice, and we run planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts for single and multi-site customers, with visits planned around production and records that support your PUWER and GSIUR duties after every visit.

Questions we get asked

How often should warehouse heaters be serviced?

Warm air and radiant tube heaters should be serviced at least once a year, ideally before the heating season starts. Sites that run heating hard or have dusty processes may need more frequent visits, which we can build into a PPM contract.

Can you extend our gas pipework for a new machine?

Yes. We size and install the extension, then tightness test, purge and commission it, and leave you with the test paperwork.

Do you do schools, offices or care homes?

No. SMR works on industrial and commercial plant only. Our sister company AAC Gas (aacgas.co.uk) looks after schools, care homes, offices, shops, hotels and commercial kitchens.
