Commercial and industrial LPG gas engineer
SMR is a qualified LPG gas engineer for industrial and commercial sites across Lancashire. Plenty of factories and rural production sites run on LPG, and their burners, heaters and pipework need the same care as mains-gas plant.
We service, repair, commission and fault-find LPG-fired process burners, warm air and radiant heaters and boilers, and test, purge and commission LPG pipework from the outlet of the supplier’s regulator or emergency control onwards, to UKLPG CoP 22 and IGEM/UP/1.
Because LPG is heavier than air it collects in low spots, drains and pits, so we take ventilation and leak testing seriously on LPG sites.
LPG equipment can be included in a PPM contract with your other gas and oil plant, so you have one contractor and one set of records for the whole site.

Do you supply LPG?
No. Your LPG supplier remains responsible for the tank and delivery. We work on the pipework and appliances on your side of the supply.
Can you convert a burner from LPG to natural gas?
Often yes, depending on the burner. Send us the make and model and we will advise.
