Commercial boiler fan clean-out, Blackburn
Commercial boiler fan clean-out in Blackburn: a real SMR Gas job, told through our own photos from the site.
- Job type: Commercial boiler fan clean-out
- Location: Blackburn
- Photographed: March 2026
The site
An industrial building in Blackburn with a large floor-standing commercial boiler. The photo shows the boiler on a concrete floor, a red forced-draught burner on the front, gas pipework with a pressure gauge on top and a stainless flue rising to the roof, with mezzanine steelwork behind.
The work
In March 2026 our job sheet records a fan clean-out on this plant, along with work on a CT1250 control. On a forced-draught burner the fan pushes all of the combustion air into the burner, so dirt on the fan or in the air path upsets the air and gas mix.
Why it matters
A clean fan and air path help the burner light reliably and burn cleanly. Large boiler plant like this is often the only heat source for a whole building, so keeping it in good order matters.
